 Poesi offers you every facette of english poetry. This App assembles about 1000 poems by over 110 poets and poetesses for your iOS and Android devices. You’ll find poems from the middle ages and 20th century – handpicked, easily accessible and ad-free. It is also possible to add over 1400 poems by german authors.

The home page offers three simple ways to start your poetical journey: the search function enables you to find poems and poets. You can also choose to have a random poem shown or read the poem of the day which is picked by the app everyday. You can choose to let yourself reminded by the app to read the poem of the day!

Read
 

Reading poetry, nothing else. The read only mode offers space for the poetic content. Tap the display twice to access the poem on full screen or hold your device horizontally. With the night mode turned you can continue to discover your favorite new poem at night time.

Filter 

As taste is personal you can filter all poems by not only their author but also epoch. Additionally poems can be filtered by century and over thirty different subjects. If you’re using the App in two languages it is also possible to switch and filter between both languages.

Save and Share 

Poetry is best when shared – you can share every poem via mail or messages with your friends and family or save your favorite poems with just one tap.

Learning and Quoting

For every poet Poesi can show you the biographical data for every author and the publication date for every poems – and it provides you with links to further information to learn more. Every poem is cited from the latest scientifically valid edition. You can find the reference for every poem within just one tap.
